My game ball today will be going to graduate senior power forward Dan Akin. During the Aggies big 84-73, win over Mountain West Conference rival the University of New Mexico, Akin scored 16 points while hitting 4 of 6 shots from the field and connecting on 8 of his 9 free throw attempts. He pulled down 2 offensive rebounds and 4 defensive boards for a total of 6 rebounds on the night. He also handed out a career-high 5 assists. Akin and the 18-5 Aggies will now hit the road for a game and look to build upon their 7-3 Mountain West Conference record on February 4th at Colorado State.

I was surprised to see Dan get the game ball, but his stats are very good and all round complete, Sean’s career point night was exciting to see.
you should have a list of who has the most game balls in the season, that would be cool to see who is getting it the most over the whole season.
Thanks for your hard work
That’s been suggested before and I think it’s a great idea! I think I will add them all up once the season has been completed. Honestly, I REALLY took a long look at Sean but Dan had one more rebound and was responsible for a minimum of 10 more points by way of his career-high 5 assists. That’s what tipped the scales this game to Dan getting the game ball. Thanks for checking out my site, Scott! Please stop by often!
