My Recruit of the Week award this week is going to Mater Dei Catholic High (CA) linebacker Tanner Williams. During a program-defining 35-7 win over St. John Bosco Prep (CA) last Friday night, Williams and the Monarchs captured the California State CIF Southern Section Division 1 title. Williams did his part as he racked up 6 tackles and 2.0 tackles-for-loss. The victory marks the 4th CIF Division 1 title for the Monarchs since 2016. Williams and the Monarchs now turn their attention to a state championship showdown on December 9th against Serra High (CA).
