Utah State has received a verbal commitment from Oregon State University linebacker John Miller. Miller is a 6-foot-1 237-pound junior who has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He will join the Aggies for the 2024 season. Miller’s decision was made just days after spending time on campus for his official visit. In 35 career games with the Beavers, Miller recorded 22 tackles, 1.0 tackles-for-loss, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble.

According to 247sports coming out of Tualatin High School (OR), Miller was rated as the 836th-best player nationally, the 26th-best inside linebacker, and the 3rd-best player in the State of Oregon. Oregon State was his first offer out of high school. Miller chose the Aggies over an offer from Southeast Missouri State.

Miller is the Aggies twelfth addition to the team following the conclusion of spring ball joining Iowa Central Community College (IA) defensive tackle Isaiah Bruce, boise state university quarterback CJ Tiller, Purdue University linebacker Clyde Washington, New Mexico State University cornerback Andre Seldon Jr., University of Charlotte wide receiver Jack Hestera, Arizona State University quarterback Jacob Conover, Lenoir-Rhyne University linebacker Jon Ross Maye, Limestone University defensive tackle Collin Vaughn, Washington State EDGE rush defensive end Lawrence Falatea, Stanford University EDGE rush defensive end Aaron Armitage, and Hutchinson Community College (KS) free safety Malik McConico.
