The Aggies battled all four quarters but just couldn’t slow down the Vanderbilt University Commodores, eventually falling to the P4 school by the score of 35-55. Now it’s time to hand out this week’s game balls.

My offensive game ball will go to graduate senior tight end Broc Lane. Lane tied for the team lead in receptions by snagging a career-high seven receptions for 89 yards. His long reception of the night went for 25 yards.

I will also add a second offensive game ball this week; this one will go to junior wide receiver Braden Pegan. Pegan tied for the team lead in receptions by hauling in a career-high seven receptions for 66 yards. Pegan’s scoring reception covered 9 yards, and his long reception of the night went for 25 yards.

My defensive game ball will go to senior safety Noah Avinger. Avinger wrapped up 2 solo tackles and was in on 10 assisted tackles to tie for the team lead with 12 total tackles on the night. Avinger also created the game’s only turnover by snagging an interception in the end zone.

I will also add a second defensive game ball this week; this one will go to senior inside linebacker John Miller. Miller pulled down 3 solo tackles and was in on 9 assisted tackles to tie for the team lead with 12 total tackles on the night. Miller also logged 1.5 tackles-for-loss and 1.0 sack.

My special teams game ball will go to sophomore punter Landon Rehkow. Rehkow booted the ball five times for an average of 49.4 yards per punt, with a long of 58 yards. Three of his punts went for 50+ yards, and he also landed three punts inside the 20-yard line.
