Utah State has received a verbal commitment from San Juan High School (UT) safety Tripp Palmer. Palmer is 6-foot-4, 195 pounds.
Palmer was a two-way threat for the Broncos, racking up 77 tackles, 7.0 tackles-for-loss, 3.0 sacks, 8 quarterback hurries, 3 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 blocked kick. Offensively, he hauled in 77 passes for 1,473 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Palmer is currently not rated by any of the national recruiting services. He chose the Aggies over offers from Air Force, Idaho State, Utah Tech, and Weber State.
