My recruit of the week for week eighteen is going to North Shore High (TX) quarterback Kaleb Maryland.
Maryland led the Mustangs to a sound 28-6 victory over previously undefeated Lake Travis High (TX) in the semi-final round of the Texas State 6A-D1 playoffs.
Maryland did a good job of managing the ground and pound game plan against Dickinson and did what the offense needed him to do, completing 4 of 9 passes (44.4%) for 57 yards and an interception. He also carried the ball 5 times for 49 yards and three touchdowns. For the season, he has 170 completions, 265 attempts (64.2%), 3,266 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. He has also toted the rock 102 times for 549 yards and more 10 touchdowns.
This is Maryland’s sixth recruit of the week honor this season.
Maryland and the Mustangs are currently 13-2 and now have their sights set on a state championship showdown against Duncanville High (TX) on Saturday night.
