Utah State has received a verbal commitment from University of Wyoming cornerback Markie Grant. Grant is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, and will join the Aggies in time for spring ball and have three years of eligibility remaining.
Grant had a good season for the Cowboys in 2025, collecting 27 tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss, 1 interception, and 2 pass breakups.
According to 247Sports, Grant is rated as the 1,213th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 135th-best cornerback. Grant chose the Aggies after taking his official visit on Monday and Tuesday.
Following the December 3rd early signing period, Grant becomes the third transfer portal commitment and the twenty-second signing/commitment for the Aggies recruiting class of 2026, joining Bishop Gorman HS (NV) wide receiver Kaina Watson, New Mexico State defensive tackle Ta’avili Tuitama, and University of Saint Thomas (MN) EDGE rush defensive end Jordan Pendleton as post-early signing period additions.
