Utah State has received a verbal commitment from byu cornerback Marcus McKenzie. McKenzie is 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, and will join the Aggies in time for spring ball and have two years of eligibility remaining.
McKenzie saw action in 9 games for the cougars in 2025 and was credited with 1 tackle.
According to On3 Sports, McKenzie is rated as the 2,170th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 243rd-best cornerback. At press time, it’s unclear if McKenzie held any other transfer portal offers.
Following the December 3rd early signing period, McKenzie becomes the seventh transfer portal commitment and the twenty-sixth signing/commitment for the Aggies recruiting class of 2026, joining Bishop Gorman HS (NV) wide receiver Kaina Watson, New Mexico State defensive tackle Ta’avili Tuitama, University of Saint Thomas (MN) EDGE rush defensive end Jordan Pendleton, Wyoming cornerback Markie Grant, Oklahoma State University safety David “DK” Kabongo, byu quarterback McCae Hillstead, and Oklahoma State offensive lineman Matt “Chewy” Wade as post-early signing period additions.
