Utah State has received a verbal commitment from Oklahoma State offensive lineman Matt “Chewy” Wade. Wade is 6-foot-5, 305 pounds, and will join the Aggies in time for spring ball and have three years of eligibility remaining.
Wade did not see any action with the Cowboys in 2025.
Wade was a walk-on at Oklahoma State, and between his true freshman and redshirt freshman seasons, he served a church mission. He did see action in 2 games with the Cowboys as a true freshman in 2022.
Following the December 3rd early signing period, Wade becomes the sixth transfer portal commitment and the twenty-fifth signing/commitment for the Aggies recruiting class of 2026, joining Bishop Gorman HS (NV) wide receiver Kaina Watson, New Mexico State defensive tackle Ta’avili Tuitama, University of Saint Thomas (MN) EDGE rush defensive end Jordan Pendleton, Wyoming cornerback Markie Grant, Oklahoma State University safety David “DK” Kabongo, and byu quarterback McCae Hillstead as post-early signing period additions.
