Utah State has received a verbal commitment from Texas Tech University defensive end Kasen Long. Long is 6-foot-5, 270 pounds, and will join the Aggies in time for spring ball, with three years of eligibility remaining.

Long saw action in two games for the Red Raiders in 2025 and was credited with one tackle.

According to On3sports, Long is rated as the 1,576th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 176th-best defensive lineman.
