2026 OUTLOOK
LEFT TACKLE
KADIN LYNCH
Kadin Lynch is a transfer from the College of William and Mary and will enter the 2026 season as a graduate senior and will use his final season of eligibility at Utah State.
As a junior last season, Lynch played in 12 games with 12 starts and by season’s end was one of the highest-graded offensive linemen in the FCS subdivision.
During his 4-year career with the Griffins, Lynch started in 38 games with 29 starts.
According to 247sports, Lynch is rated as the 2,267th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 192nd-best interior offensive lineman. Utah State was his first transfer portal offer, and he committed just days after his official visit. He originally held offers from Charlotte, Colgate, Columbia, East Carolina State, East Tennessee State, Jacksonville State, Lehigh, North Carolina (PWO), Tennessee State, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia-Wise, William & Mary, and Wofford.
Lynch is a road grader in every sense of the term. His powerful lower body gives him the ability to play with leverage and physically dominate opposing offensive linemen at the line of scrimmage. He has become feared for his initial strike as the ball is snapped and, thanks to perfect hand placement, is often able to send opposing defenders reeling backward. Although he is a very powerful player, technical precision has also become a part of his game. It is rare to see a player of his natural size have such quick feet and a smooth drop step in pass protection. He has the mobility needed to be an effective pulling guard at any level of football. He rarely gave up a sack in pass protection. He never takes a snap off and will be competing to become a staple along the Aggie offensive line.
JOHN RANDLE JR.
John Randle Jr. is a transfer from the University of Purdue who will enter the 2026 season as a sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining.
As a redshirt freshman last season, Randle Jr. saw action in 2 games with 0 starts. He logged 22 snaps.
During his 2-year career at the University of Purdue, he played in 4 games with 0 starts, logged 22 snaps, and played on special teams.
According to 247sports, Randle Jr. is rated as the 2,045th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 163rd-best offensive tackle. Utah State was his first transfer portal offer, and he committed just days after his official visit. He originally held offers from Alabama State, Arkansas State, Duke, Georgia State, Jackson State, Marshall, Memphis, Mississippi State, Purdue, Southern Mississippi, Mississippi Valley State, Tulane, and UNLV.
Randle Jr. is a versatile player who has the ability to play both left and right tackle. He has the fluid athleticism necessary to play tackle at a high level. He moves exceptionally well in space and displays quick footwork, which allows him to effectively stay in front of opposing defensive ends. He has long arms to help him swallow keep power rushers out in front of him. His physical framework still has room for him to continue to add mass without compromising his athleticism. His lower body strength and naturally generated power will lead him to become a punishing run blocker. His high level of coordination and potential is tough to come by.
MATT “CHEWY” WADE
Chewy Wade is a transfer from Oklahoma State University and will enter the 2026 season as a sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining.
As a redshirt freshman last season, Wade saw action in 1 game with 0 starts, playing on special teams.
During his 2-year career with the Cowboys, Wade played in 3 games with 0 starts and primarily played on special teams.
Utah State was his first transfer portal offer, and he committed just days after his official visit. He originally held offers from Central Missouri, Northeastern State, Oklahoma State (Preferred walk-on), Pittsburg State, and Weber State.
Wade has the typical massive frame that is required of a high-ceiling offensive lineman. He is able to play both tackle and both guard positions. He has that mean streak in him that every high-level offensive lineman needs to have. He has the ideal size and grit needed to dominate in the trenches. He has good footwork and is able to effectively kick opposing pass rushers out around his quarterback and help create a sound pocket. Before his 2025 season at Oklahoma State, he had just returned from serving a church mission and was playing his way back into shape. After having a year post-mission under his belt, I expect Wade to take a huge step forward heading into 2026.
KAHOLI KRAU
True freshman Kaholi Krau will enter fall camp looking to hone his skills and improve individually as a player.
As a high school senior last season at Baldwin High School (HI), Krau played in 10 games with 10 starts.
During his 3-year career with the Bears and IMG Academy (FL), Krau played in 29 games with 29 starts.
Krau chose the Aggies over offers from Fordham, Merrimack College, North Dakota, and Stetson. Although I was unable to verify the schools, several news outlets report he received nearly 50 offers.
Krau is a very intriguing late addition to the 2026 signing class. He is already physically imposing for a player of his age. He comes from a program that teaches discipline and pro-style development, so his football IQ is advanced. He is technically sound and can play multiple positions on the offensive line. That type of positional fluidity is tough to find, and that makes him valuable in many different blocking schemes. He uses his long reach effectively to keep edge rushers out of his chest during pass protection and uses his upper-level coordination and lateral quickness to get out and physically punish opposing defensive players in the run game.
RIGHT TACKLE
SETH WILFRED
Seth Wilfred is a transfer from Auburn University who will enter the 2026 season as a junior with two years of eligibility remaining.
Last season as a redshirt sophomore with the Tigers, Wilfred did not see any action and spent the season on the practice squad.
During his 3-year career at Auburn University and Snow Junior College (UT), Wilfred has played in 13 games with 12 starts.
According to On3sports, Wilfred is rated as the 2,052nd-best transfer portal player and the 155th-best offensive tackle. At press time, it is unclear if he held any other transfer portal offers. He originally held offers from Akron, Arizona State, Auburn, Austin Peay, Houston, Iowa State, Liberty, Massachusetts, North Texas, Old Dominion, Tennessee-Martin, and Utah State.
Wilfred is a raw physical player who is very close to putting it all together and becoming a more complete player. He is described as having a high-end developmental ceiling. He is a mountain of a player who prefers to bulldoze his opposing defensive lineman. He has strong, heavy hands that help him control defenders at the point of attack. He is a massive player who has surprising agility and is able to get low and deliver punishing blocks. This makes him a force in the run game. He works hard and is very aggressive at the line of scrimmage. He will remain engaged in his blocks until the whistle sounds.
JACKSON NELSON
Sophomore Jackson Nelson will battle for reps during fall camp.
As a redshirt freshman last season, Nelson did not see any action and spent the season on the Aggie practice squad.
During his 2-year career at Utah State and byu, Nelson has not seen any in-game action and spent a season redshirting following his return from serving a church mission.
As a high school senior in 2022 at Salem Hills High School (UT), he started all 10 games as a quarterback, completing 149 of 263 passes for 1,608 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. He was also a very accomplished basketball player. He originally held a preferred walk-on offer from byu.
Nelson is an intriguing player to me because he’s only been playing on the offensive line for one year. His upside is tremendous. With him being so new to the position, right tackle is the perfect spot for him to develop his game. He is a massive player who has surprising agility and can get low and deliver punishing blocks. This makes him a force in the run game. He has quickly learned to move his feet well, and this allows him to maintain a smooth drop-back in pass protection and match the angle of opposing pass rushers. His natural mobility will allow him to be used in multiple ways.
LUKE BAKER
True freshman Luke Baker will enter fall camp looking to hone his skills and improve individually as a player.
As a high school senior last season at Green Canyon High School (UT), Baker was a starter on the offensive line in all 15 games.
During his 3-year career with the Wolves, Baker was a starter on the offensive line in 40 games
According to On3sports, Baker was rated as the 1,725th-best player nationally, the 128th-best offensive tackle, and the 23rd-best player in Utah. He chose the Aggies over offers from Idaho State, Massachusetts, Northern Arizona and Weber State.
Baker is an offensive lineman who has spent a ton of time on the field. Thanks to his versatility he can play both tackle positions. He has a long frame, which allows him to keep opposing pass rushers from getting up into him. He is a multi-sport athlete, during which he developed high-level mobility and lateral quickness, and that makes him an effective pass blocker. His strong, stout lower body is key to him being able to lean into his opposing defender and move him around while run blocking. His quick hands lend ability to use his hands effectively to sustain contact throughout any block.
LUCAS NEIDIG
True freshman Lucas Neidig will enter fall camp looking to hone his skills and improve individually as a player.
As a high school senior last season at Bingham High School (UT), Neidig was a starter on the offensive line in all 10 games.
During his 2-year career with the Miners, Neidig has played in 21 games with 21 starts.
According to On3sports, Neidig was rated as the 2,583rd-best player nationally, the 195th-best offensive tackle, and the 34th-best player in Utah. He chose the Aggies over an offer from Northern Arizona.
Neidig has only been playing football for two years and picked it up very quickly. His primary sport for a long time was basketball, which is directly responsible for his lateral quickness and explosion out of his stance. His athletic versatility is a big plus. He has a massive frame that has significant room to fill out as he transitions to college football. He’s just getting started on developing his body for football. Thanks to his quick footwork and long reach, he has great value for his ability to handle speed rushers on the edge in pass protection. He has strength at the line of scrimmage and is able to consistently open holes in the run game.
JOSHUA ZENT
True freshman preferred walk-on Josh Zent joined the Aggies in time for spring ball following his return from serving a church mission.
As a high school senior in 2022 at Cabrillo High School (CA), Zent was a starter on the offensive line in all 9 games and recorded 66 pancake blocks.
During his 3-year career with the Conquistadors and Ten Sleep High School (WY), Zent has played in 25 games with 17 starts.
Dent had interest from Cal-Poly and Weber State.
Dent has a long athletic frame that he could still add a little weight to. He is strong and powerful, and once he gets into an opposing defender, he really drives into them. He is very mobile and is often utilized for pulling or getting downfield for blocks on screens. He is aggressive after the snap and uses solid footwork techniques when executing his assignments. His standout play on both sides of the ball and being a multi-sport athlete will play a huge part in his development.
