2026 OUTLOOK

FIELD CORNERBACK

ANTONIO BLUIETT
Antonio Bluiett is a transfer from the University of North Dakota who will enter the 2026 season as a senior and use his final season of eligibility with the Aggies.

As a junior with the Fighting Hawks last season, Bluiett played in 10 games with 7 starts and logged 29 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sack, 3 interceptions, and 9 pass breakups.

During his 4-year career at the University of North Dakota, Bluiett has played in 35 games with 16 starts and totaled 79 tackles, 3.0 tackles-for-loss, 2.0 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 15 pass breakups.

According to On3 Sports, Bluiett is rated as the 770th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 79th-best cornerback in the transfer portal. Utah State was Blueitt’s first transfer portal scholarship offer, and he accepted not long after being offered. He originally held offers from Bemidji State, North Dakota, and Valparaiso.

Blueitt has everything you want in an upperclassman cornerback. His height and physical build are the first things that stand out. He uses his stout stature to easily disrupt opposing wide receivers at the line of scrimmage. He has an exceptional instinct for tracking the football once it is in the air, and he has a knack for creating pass breakups. In the event the ball does come his way, he is a reliable open-field tackler. He is a physical defensive back who is not afraid of contact. He has a high-intensity motor that allows him to blitz effectively, and he does an excellent job of disguising the blitz when his number is called.

JOHN SHEPARD
Redshirt junior John Shepard will battle for reps during fall camp.

As a junior last season, Shepard played in 5 games with 0 starts to preserve his redshirt status. He did not record any stats.

During his 3-year career with the Aggies and San Diego Mesa Community College (CA), Shepard has played in 18 games with 9 starts and totaled 26 tackles, 1.0 tackles-for-loss, 3 interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown, 7 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 blocked kick.

Shepard chose the Aggies over an offer from Olivet Nazarene University.

Shepard does a great job matching the speed of opposing wide receivers on the sidelines. He is almost always in a position to get his hands on the ball and make things difficult. He is extremely skilled at coming down with interceptions, so opposing quarterbacks should think twice about throwing in his direction. He can also be a weapon on special teams units; his aggressive nature has led to a number of punt blocks over his young career.

O’SHEA JACKSON-WEBB
True freshman O’Shea Jackson-Webb joined the Aggie program in June and will look to make some noise in fall camp.

As a senior at Clovis East High School (CA) in 2025, Jackson-Webb played in 11 games with 11 starts and rolled up 34 tackles and 5 pass breakups.

During his 4-year career with the Timberwolves and Edison High School (CA), he played in 35 games with 24 starts and totaled 114 tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss, 10 interceptions, 24 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 touchdown.

According to 247sports, Jackson-Webb was rated as the 1,802nd-best player nationally, the 177th-best cornerback, and the 136th-best player in California. Jackson-Webb chose the Aggies over offers from Delaware State, Hawaii, Idaho, Miami (OH), Montana, Montana State, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Portland State, Sacramento State, and San Diego State.

Jackson-Webb earned a reputation as being a lockdown defensive back. He is a confident, high-energy player and has the alpha dog mentality needed to be successful at this position. His quick feet and lateral agility allow him to shadow opposing wide receivers without breaking his stride. His long strides allow him to close the gap or make up ground in a hurry. He can defend outside receivers or in the slot. His eye discipline is excellent, and he rarely bites on the first move. He is solid at tracking the ball in the air and aggressively attacks the ball as it arrives.

CREW DEMARTINI
True freshman preferred walk-on Crew DeMartini will add depth at the position.

As a senior at Provo High School (UT) in 2025, DeMartini played in 10 games with 10 starts and rolled up 46 tackles, 1.0 tackles-for-loss and 1 fumble recovery.

During his 3-year career with the Bulldogs, DeMartini played in 31 games with 31 starts and totaled 126 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, 10 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 2 fumble recoveries.

DeMartini chose the Aggies over offers from Fort Lewis College and Utah Tech.

DeMartini is a very accomplished three-sport athlete. His time as a wide receiver helps with spatial awareness and an ability to high point the football as it arrives in the air. His sticky hands give him an excellent opportunity to come down with the football any chance he gets. His long arms and physical style of play allow him to press coverage and hand fight with opposing wide receivers at the line of scrimmage.

BOUNDARY CORNERBACK

DJ MAYES
Junior DJ Mayes will be a primary candidate to land the starting gig at this spot.

As a sophomore last season, Mayes played in 13 games with 4 starts and recorded 40 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, 1 quarterback hurry, 2 interceptions, and 2 pass breakups.

During his 2-year career with the Aggies and the University of New Mexico, Mayes has played in 21 games with 4 starts and totaled 42 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sack, 1 quarterback hurry, 2 interceptions, and 2 pass breakups

According to On3 Sports, Mayes was rated as the 2,795th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 511th-best cornerback in the transfer portal. Once he entered the transfer portal, Utah State was his first offer, and he accepted not long after being offered. He originally held offers from New Mexico and Utah Tech.

Mayes is a big-bodied, physical dude. He is very versatile and could potentially play anywhere in the secondary. His size allows him to be a very competitive player once the ball is in the air. He does a great job tracking the ball out of the quarterback’s hand and out-jumping opposing wide receivers on corner and fade routes. He has great feet and is disciplined when it comes to knowing his assignments. He will factor into the return game, where he can use his speed and shiftiness to help his team win the hidden yardage battle.

KYE STOKES
Kye Stokes is a transfer from the University of Cincinnati who will enter the 2026 season as a senior and use his final season of eligibility with the Aggies.

As a junior with the Bearcats last season, Stokes played in 12 games with 0 starts and was credited with 2 tackles.

During his 4-year career at the University of Cincinnati and Ohio State University. Stokes has played in 35 games with 0 starts and totaled 24 tackles, 1.0 tackles-for-loss, and 1 forced fumble.

According to On3 Sports, Stokes is rated as the 2,576th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 246th-best cornerback in the transfer portal. Utah State was Stokes’ first transfer portal scholarship offer, and he accepted not long after being offered. He originally held offers from Alabama, Auburn, Buffalo, Central Florida, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Dartmouth, Duke, Florida, Florida International, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas State, LSU, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, South Carolina, South Florida, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wake Forest, Washington State, Western Kentucky.

Stokes is a very athletic player. He has a good frame and long arm length that will allow him to be an effective press coverage defender. He excels at bumping opposing wide receivers off their routes. His build allows him to match up with larger boundary receivers. His ball skills and jumping ability give him a chance to make a play on every 50/50 ball. He possesses elite speed, which gives him excellent recovery speed and range on the back end of the play. During his career, he has played all over the secondary, and his seasoned understanding of each position gives him a chance to see time all over the field, in any scheme.

DONTAE DYSON
True freshman Dontae Dyson joined the Aggie program in June and will look to make some noise in fall camp.

As a senior at Northridge High School (UT) in 2025, Dyson played in 8 games with 8 starts and rolled up 23 tackles, 1 interception, and 5 pass breakups.

During his 3-year career with the Knights, Dyson played in 31 games with 31 starts and totalled 85 tackles, 1.0 tackles-for-loss, 2 interceptions, 16 pass breakups, and 2 fumble recoveries.

According to 247sports, Dyson was rated as the 1,208th-best player nationally, the 99th-best cornerback, and the 22nd-best player in Utah. Dyson chose the Aggies over offers from boise state, Colorado State, and Weber State.

Dyson is an athletic player who is capable of lining up at either of the cornerback spots. His time as a wide receiver will give him an advantage in anticipating what route an opposing player may be running. His fluid hips and quick feet give him a natural ability to change directions quickly. He is a built-in instinct to keep his hands active and fight with opposing wide receivers while a route is in progress. He crashes the backfield well in run support and is a very physical tackler in the open field and out in the flat.

NICKEL CORNERBACK

BOBBY ARNOLD
Senior Bobby Arnold will be a top competitor for this spot this season.

As a redshirt junior last season, Arnold played in 11 games with 3 starts and finished with 21 tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss, and 1 pass breakup.

During his 4-year career with the Aggies, the University of New Mexico, and Dodge City Community College (KS), Arnold has played in 34 games with 25 starts and totaled 124 tackles, 8.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sack, 3 interceptions, 3 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 2 blocked kicks.

According to On3 Sports, Arnold was rated as the 975th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 119th-best cornerback in the transfer portal. Once he entered the transfer portal, Utah State was his first offer, and he accepted not long after being offered. He originally held offers from New Mexico

Arnold is a speedy cornerback who makes an impact on the field in any way that he can. He has a great eye for reading opposing quarterbacks. He is decisive and deliberate once he makes a move and finds ways to jump routes and get his hands on the ball. He is a strong tackler and isn’t afraid to make a move from the slot into the backfield to slow down the opposing run game. He is physical for his size and packs a ton of force behind his tackles when bringing down opposing ball carriers.

MARKIE GRANT
Markie Grant is a transfer from the University of Wyoming who will enter the 2026 season as a sophomore and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

As a redshirt freshman with the Cowboys last season, Grant played in 12 games with 4 starts and picked up 27 tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss, 1 interception, and 2 pass breakups.

During his 2-year career at the University of Wyoming, Grant played in 15 games with 4 starts and totaled 28 tackles, 0.5 tackles-for-loss, 1 interception, and 2 pass breakups

According to 247sports, Grant is rated as the 2,055th-best transfer portal player nationally and the 216th-best cornerback in the transfer portal. Utah State was Grant’s first transfer portal scholarship offer, and he accepted not long after being offered. He originally held offers from Akron, Arizona State, Arkansas, California, Colorado State, Fresno State, Indiana, Kansas, Marshall, Maryland, Miami (OH), Missouri, Nebraska, Sam Houston State, Syracuse, Tulane, UNLV, Utah State, and Washington State.

Grant is a very athletic player. He has legitimate sprinter speed, and having that type of burst will always be a plus. He can play on the outside in man-to-man coverage but also has fluid enough hips, and he can slide in and cover an opposing slot receiver as well. He has a very long wingspan for a player of his height, and that allows him to play bigger than expected. He uses his physical ability to disrupt passing windows, and he is able to contest passes against taller opposing wide receivers. He plays with a highly aggressive mentality, and that makes him a good player to help assist in run containment and perimeter tackling.

JORDAN HARRIS
True freshman Jordan Harris will look to make some noise during fall camp.

As a senior at Bridgeland High School (TX) in 2025, with limited stats available, Harris played in 11 games with 11 starts and was credited with 1 interception, 12 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble.

During his 3-year career with the Bears, he played in 37 games with 26 starts and, with very few stats available, totaled 11 tackles, 1 interception, 14 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble.

Harris chose the Aggies over offers from Friends University, Louisiana Tech, Millsaps College, Missouri Southern, Roseville University, Texas-San Antonio, and Texas Wesleyan

Harris’ primary calling card is pure speed. He has been laser-timed with a blistering 10.3-second 100-meter dash and a 4.45-second 40-yard dash. This type of world-class acceleration will make it incredibly difficult for opposing wide receivers to stack him vertically or beat him on deep routes. Even if he were to make a misstep, his speed alone will allow him to make up the difference. As if speed weren’t enough, he also has the athleticism to play the position. He can flip his hips cleanly, which gives him the ability to match opposing wide receivers step for step. He times passes perfectly and breaks on the ball quickly enough to bat away the intended pass.
