My first game ball of the year will be going to graduate senior power forward Taylor Funk. In the season opening 75-58 win over Utah Valley University, Funk came up big as he scored 18 points while hitting 8 of 15 shots from the field and connecting on 2 of his 7 attempts from behind the 3-point line. He led the way by pulling down 3 offensive rebounds and 11 defensive boards for a total of 14 rebounds on the night. He also dished out 2 assists and blocked a shot.
