Utah State signed American Fork High (UT) shooting guard Bryce Mella. Mella is a 6-foot-5, 180-pound senior who will join the Aggies for the 2028-29 season following serving a church mission.

Last season, Mella saw action in 13 games with 13 starts and averaged 17.2 points per game while shooting 49.0% from the field, 38.0% from behind the three-point line, and 93.0% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 4.6 rebounds, handed out 2.8 assists, and swiped 1.2 steals per game.

During his 3-year high school career, Mella played in 56 games with 56 starts, averaging 18.5 points per game while also pulling down 3.7 rebounds, handing out 2.5 assists, and swiping 1.2 steals per game.

Mella chose the Aggies over offers from Hawaii, Nevada, Northridge, Pepperdine, and Weber State.

Mella is the first signing of the Aggies’ 2025-26 recruiting cycle.
