Thanks to two outstanding performances in week three, I have to hand out co-offensive players of the week and it is going to a pair of players from the State of Texas.

First up is Bellville High (TX) running back Robert Briggs. In a 49-0 romp over C.H. Yoe (TX), Robert had an incredibly efficient evening taking 2 carries for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also caught 1 pass for 70 yards and 1 touchdown. Robert also had a game defensively adding 1 interception for yet another touchdown. That’s right Aggie Nation, four touches, four touchdowns.

My second offensive nod goes to Spring High (TX) quarterback Bishop Davenport. In a 38-17 win over Fort Bend Travis (TX), Bishop completed 21 of his 35 attempts for 301 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. He also added 11 carries for 85 yards and another touchdown.

My defensive recruit of the week goes to Mesquite High (TX) linebacker Josh Williams. During a 30-14 loss to Flower Mound (TX), Josh was a defensive star as he racked up 8 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, and 2.0 sacks.
