My offensive game ball will go to a pair of wide receivers who did a ton of damage with their legs Friday night in the form of yards after-the-catch. Graduate senior Brandon Bowling pulled in 6 passes for 118 yards and 1 touchdown, while senior Deven Thompkins hauled in 8 passes for 172 yards and 1 touchdown. Thompkins long reception was 75 yards and Bowling’s longest catch of the night was 54 yards.

My defensive game ball goes to graduate senior Justin Rice. Justin had an outstanding game versus North Dakota as he racked up 9 tackles, 1.0 tackles-for-loss, and 2 interceptions. For his effort, Justin was name the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week.

My special teams game ball is going to be a bit unconventional. I’m giving the game ball to redshirt freshman long snapper Jacob Garcia and holder sophomore Stephen Kotsanlee. The duo combined for 8 perfect snaps and holds that led to hitting both field goal attempts and also finishing the game a perfect 6 out of 6 on PATs as well.
