My first Offensive Recruit of the Week will go to Northridge High (UT) quarterback Lofa Fonoti-Maikui. In a solid 19-14 win over Woods Cross, Lofa completed 18 of 27 passes for 349 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, while also adding 20 yards on 4 carries.
My second Offensive Recruit of the Week will go to Bellville High (TX) running back Robert Briggs. In a decisive 67-7 victory over Rockdale High (TX), Robert had yet another stat stuffing performance taking 2 carries for 52 yards and 1 touchdown, catching 2 passes for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also tacked on 151 punt return yards and a fourth touchdown.
My first Defensive Recruit of the Week will go to Mesquite High (TX) linebacker Josh Williams. In a 49-35 shootout victory over Arlington High (TX), Josh made his presence known racking up 11 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 pass breakup.
My second Defensive Recruit of the Week goes to Tooele High (UT) linebacker Mapa Vaenuku. In a tough 29-14 rivalry loss to Stansbury High (UT), Mapa had a standout game collecting 7 tackles, 1.0 tackle-for-loss, and 1.0 sack.
