This week my offensive game ball is going to graduate junior running back Calvin Tyler Jr. Calvin gave the Aggies some offensive punch after gaining 126 yards rushing on 20 carries for an average of 6.3 yards per carry.
I’m going to give out a trio of defensive game balls this week.
My first defensive game ball will go to graduate senior defensive end Nick Heninger. Nick was a menace in the backfield all game as he made 5 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sack, 2 pass breakups, and 1 QB hurry.
My second defensive game ball will go to junior linebacker AJ Vongphachanh. AJ racked up 9 tackles, including 4 solo stops and 1.0 tackle-for-loss.
My third and final defensive game ball will go to graduate senior linebacker Justin Rice. Justin was all over the field as he was credited with 10 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, and 1 pass breakup.
My special teams game ball goes to sophomore kick-off specialist Elliott Nimrod. Elliott made sure that no damage was done in the kick return game by booting his 2 kick-offs for 100 total yards, good enough for a 50.0 yard per kick average, which included 1 touchback.
