After a couple of big overall team offensive performances I’m going with a pair of offensive linemen this week.

My first offensive recruit of the week is going to Green Canyon High (UT) offensive lineman Bryce Radford. In a big 49-10 win over Logan High (UT), Bryce anchored an offensive line that led the Wolves to 300 rushing yards and 226 yards passing for a total of 526 offensive yards.

My second offensive recruit of the week is going to go to Timpview High (UT) offensive lineman James Aloisio. In a 43-13 victory over Orem High (UT), James was the catalyst on an offensive line that led a balance T-Bird attack racking up 234 yards on the ground and 239 yards in the air for a total offensive output of 473 yards.

There were two standout defensive performances this week that also warrant recognition.

My first defensive recruit of the week is going to Thunder Ridge High (ID) defensive end Paul Fitzgerald. In a tough 14-24 loss to Highland High (ID), Paul was a force on the defensive line accounting for 4 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, 2.0 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.

My second defensive recruit of the week is Mesquite High (TX) linebacker Josh Williams. In a tightly contested 22-25 loss to Rockwall High (TX), Josh was a problem all night rolling up 7 tackles, 1.0 tackle-for-loss, and 1.0 sack.

I’ve also decided to hand out two dual-threat awards for the first time this season.

My first dual-threat recruit of the week goes to Trinity Christian Academy (TX) defensive end Matt Freeman. In a tight 12-14 loss to Nike FC Dallas (TX), Matt had a standout game on both sides of the ball racking up 7 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, and 1.0 sacks. He also totaled 56 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on only 5 carries.

My second dual-threat recruit of the week is going to Tooele High (UT) linebacker Mapa Vaenuku. In a solid 48-27 win over Payson High (UT), Mapa led the way on both sides of the ball accumulating 97 yards and 1 touchdown on just 8 carries. While on the defensive side of the ball he was credited with 7 tackles.
