I’m going to hand out two offensive recruits of the week this week.

My first offensive recruit of the week will go to Timpview High (UT) offensive lineman James Aloisio. In a 28-14 win over Lehi High (UT), James led the way along the offensive line helping the T-Birds pick up 289 yards passing and 163 yards on the ground for a total of 452 yards offensively.

My second offensive recruit of the week will go to Brighton High (UT) offensive lineman Jacob Reece. In a 49-3 drubbing of Clearfield High (UT), Jacob paved the way as the Bengal offensive racked up 264 yards through the air and 141 rushing yards for a total of 404 yards offensively.

A trio of defensive players stood out this week, as each one of them helped their teams to big late season wins last week.

My first nod for defensive recruit of the week will to go Lone Peak High (UT) linebacker Kao Hansen. In a win for the ages, Kao helped lead the charge for the Knight in a 41-16 win over Corner Canyon High (UT) putting an end to a 48 game winning streak. Kao totaled 5 tackles, 1 interception and 1 pass breakup in the game.

My second defensive recruit of the week is going to Mesquite High (TX) linebacker Josh Williams. In a 12-0 shutout win over Horn High (TX), Josh amassed 14 tackles, 1 interception, 2 QB hurries, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 1 blocked field goal.

My third and final defensive recruit of the week is going to Los Alamitos High (CA) defensive tackle Adam Tomczyk. In a hard fought 35-28 victory over Edison High (CA), Adam was a force in the middle rolling up 6 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss, and 2.0 sacks.

My dual-threat recruit of the week has to go to Trinity Christian Academy (TX) defensive end Matt Freeman. In a 61-46 shootout win against Newman International Academy (TX), Matt racked up 10 tackles, 3.0 tackles-for-loss, 3.0 sacks, 4 pass deflections, and 1 QB hurry. On the offensive side of the ball, Matt rolled for 140 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns on just 8 carries.
