I’m definitely handing out two offensive recruit of the week awards this week.

My first offensive recruit of the week is going to Spring High (TX) quarterback Bishop Davenport. In a first round playoff showdown 52-35 victory over The Woodlands High (TX), Bishop showed why he is an MVP candidate connecting on 15 of his 27 passes for 344 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He also carried the ball 17 times for 106 yards.

My second offensive recruit of the week will be Bellville High (TX) running back Robert Briggs. In a BIG 62-14 first round playoff win over Orangeville High (TX), Robert did most of his damage on the ground taking 17 carries for 169 yards and 1 touchdown. He did also add 3 receptions for 47 yards and another touchdown.

My defensive recruit of the week is going to be Mesquite High (TX) linebacker Josh Williams. In a solid 42-19 win over Sachse High (TX) in the first round of the playoffs, Josh was all over the field as he amassed 14 tackles with each of them being right at or near the line of scrimmage.

My dual-threat recruit of the week is going to Christopher Columbus High (FL) cornerback Ken Moore Jr. In a 54-0 demolishing of Dr. Krop High (FL) in the first round of the playoffs, Ken hauled in 3 passes for 46 yards offensively, he snagged an acrobatic interception on defense, and he got in on the special teams game taking a kick return 64 yards to the house for a touchdown.
