I’ll have two game balls today after the Aggies season came to an end (for now) with a last second 51-53 loss to Colorado State in the Mountain West Conference Tournament.
My first game ball will be going to senior power forward Justin Bean. Justin came up big as he scored 15 points while hitting 5 of 15 shots from the field, connecting on 1 of his 4 attempts from behind the 3-point line and all 4 of his free throw attempts, including 2 clutch free throws in the final 12 seconds to tie the game. He led the way by pulling down 4 offensive rebounds and 9 defensive boards for a total of 13 rebounds on the night. He also dished out 3 assists, has 2 steals and blocked a shot.
My second game ball will be going to graduate senior stretch 5 Brandon Horvath. Brandon did his thing by scoring 18 points while hitting 8 of 13 shots from the field and hitting 1 of his 3 free throw tries. He pulled down 2 offensive rebounds and 6 defensive boards for a total of 8 rebounds on the night. He also handed out 2 assists.
