AJ Carter 6’0″ 185 (3*) – Senior

In 2021, AJ played in 13 of 14 games and racked up 45 tackles, 3.0 tackles-for-loss, 2.0 sacks, 3 interceptions, 1 pass breakup, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. Carter comes from one of the most talent-rich high school programs in the State of Texas. He has a prototypical size for a safety but could handle adding about 10 pounds for the striker position. He is good at using his time as a wide receiver to help him read and react to plays as they unfold in front of him. He is very aggressive and likes to use his size to be physical in both run and pass defense. He has good speed and that allows him to make a minor mistake and still be able to make up for it. He is a very confident player.

Anthony Switzer 6’0″ 205 (3*) – Senior

Anthony is transferring from Arkansas State University. In 2021, he saw action in 8 games and totaled 38 tackles, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble. Switzer is a player who can roam all over the field to make plays. He is a violent tackler who is equally skilled in defending the run and the pass. He is a player with a high football IQ and combines that with his athleticism to make an impact. He is a good tackler and does a solid job of wrapping up. His size allows him to be a very physical player. Being familiar with the defensive scheme will shorten the learning curve for him this spring.
