For the first time this season, I’ll be handing out two offensive game balls this week.

My first offensive game ball will go to junior quarterback Cooper Legas. In just his second career start, Legas jump-started the Aggie offense by completing 18 of 23 passes for a career-high 215 yards and two touchdowns. Legas also proved to be light on his feet carrying the ball 13 times for another career-high 76 yards, including a career-long touchdown run from 32-yards out.

For the third week in a row, an offensive game ball will go to graduate senior wide receiver, Brian Cobbs. Cobbs pulled in eight receptions for a career-high 136 yards and one touchdown as he caught a 31-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

I’ll be handing out a VERY rare three defensive game balls this week.

My first defensive game ball will be going to junior linebacker MJ Tafisi. Tafisi was all over the field racking up tying for a team-high thirteen tackles, including four solo tackles and nine assisted tackles.

My second defensive game ball will be going to senior linebacker AJ Vongphachanh. Vongphachanh tore up the Falcons after finishing the game tied with Tafisi for a team-high thirteen tackles, including one solo tackle and twelve assisted tackles.

My third and final defensive game ball will be going to senior cornerback AJ Carter. Carter was a playmaker all night after totaling seven tackles, including four solo tackles and three assisted tackles. He also forced a fumble that was recovered by teammate Andre Grayson. Carter also snared an errant Falcon pass for an interception late in the contest.

My special teams game ball will be going to graduate senior kicker Connor Coles. Coles connected on both of his field goal attempts including hitting both of his kicks from 30-yards out. He also nailed all three of his PAT tries.
