My offensive game ball will go to graduate senior running back Calvin Tyler Jr. During the Aggies tough 14-28 road loss to the University of Wyoming. Tyler was the Aggies leading rusher carrying the ball 15 times for a team-high 83 yards and a touchdown. Tyler averaged 5.5 yards per carry, with his longest carry of the day being 31-yards coming on his touchdown run.

My defensive game ball will be going to senior linebacker AJ Vongphachanh. Vongphachanh led the Aggies in tackles Saturday night after he racked up ten tackles, including six solo tackles and four assisted tackles. Vongphachanh was also credited with 1.5 tackles-for-loss and 1.0 sacks.

I’m going to hand out two special teams game balls this week.

My first special teams game ball will be going to junior punter Stephen Kotsanlee. Kotsanlee was on the field often Saturday night as he booted the ball 8 times including punts of 56, 53, 53, and 52-yards for an average of 50.6 yards per punt. Kotsanlee also landed three punts inside the 20-yard line.

My second special teams game ball will go to sophomore cornerback Jamie Nance. Nance ripped away a muffed punt from a Cowboy punt returner in the second quarter. The recovered fumble directly led to the Aggies first touchdown of the game
