My game ball today will be going to graduate senior power forward Dan Akin. During the Aggies 70-53, road win over Mountain West Conference foe Fresno State University, Akin scored a season-high 23 points while hitting 8 of 10 shots from the field, connecting on 6 of his 7 free throw attempts, and hitting the first only three-point shot of his career. He pulled down 3 offensive rebounds and 5 defensive boards for a total of 8 rebounds on the night. He also swatted 3 shots. Akin and the 17-5 Aggies will now return home after a week on the road and look to improve their 6-3 Mountain West Conference record on February 1st against rival New Mexico.
