Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this afternoon from the former University of Wyoming and USC (CA) WING Max Agbonkpolo. Agbonkpolo is a 6 foot 9 196-pound transfer who has one season of eligibility remaining and will join the Aggies for the 2023-24 season. Agbonkpolo just left Logan after coming on his official visit on April 23rd and 24th. Over the course of his four-year career, Agbonkpolo has averaged 5.0 points per game while shooting 40.0% from the field, 28.2% from behind the three-point line, and 70.9% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 2.6 rebounds, handed out 0.7 assists, and swiped 0.4 steals and 0.3 blocks per game. Prior to signing with USC straight out of high school, Agbonkpolo received offers from a who’s who list of collegiate programs including Arizona, Arizona St, Columbia, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Michigan, Rutgers, San Diego St, Santa Barbara, TCU, Texas, USC, Utah State, Virginia, and Washington.
