Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from former University of Washington forward Jackson Grant. Grant is a 6 foot 10 205-pound transfer who has two seasons of eligibility remaining and will join the Aggies for the 2023-24 season. Grant came to Logan for his official visit the morning of April 28th and committed not long after arriving. He was a McDonald’s All-American and was named the 2020-21 Gatorade Washington Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Over the course of his two-year career, Grant has averaged 0.9 points per game while shooting 28.2% from the field, 0.0% from behind the three-point line, and 50.0% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 1.5 rebounds, handed out 0.1 assists, swiped 0.2 steals per game, and 0.3 blocks per game. While in high school, Grant hauled in offers from California, Oklahoma, Pepperdine, San Diego, Stanford, Washington, and Wisconsin.
