Utah State has received a verbal commitment from Arizona State University transfer offensive lineman Ralph Frias. Frias made his official visit to campus over the weekend of April 28th. Frias is a 6 foot 7 305-pound senior, who will join the Aggies in June for summer workouts. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining. During his four seasons at Arizona State, he saw action in 11 games. According to 247sports, coming out of Safford (AZ), Frias was rated as the 960th-best overall player nationally, the 82nd-best offensive lineman in the country, and the 14th-best high school player in the State of Arizona. He is from the same area as current Aggies offensive lineman Cole Motes. He is the first transfer portal signing of the offseason. After leaving Arizona State Frias held offers from Eastern Kentucky, Georgia Southern, Grambling State, Incarnate Word, Kent State, Massachusetts, and Northern Colorado. Frias is ready to get in and compete right away and get acquainted with his new teammates. I expect him to come in and compete immediately at left tackle.
