Utah State has received a verbal commitment from City College of San Francisco defensive tackle Harold Brooks. Brooks made his official visit to campus over the weekend of May 5th. Brooks is a 6-foot-2 290-pound junior, who will join the Aggies in June for summer workouts. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining. Brooks spent the 2022 season redshirting while he properly put on the necessary muscle weight in order to play defensive tackle at the FBS level. During his lone season at the City College of San Francisco in 2021, he tallied 25 tackles, 7.5 tackles-for-loss, 5.5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 2 pass breakups while playing as and EDGE rush defensive end. Brooks is the third off-season junior college signing for the Aggies joining Snow College (UT) running back Rahsul Faison and Independence Community College (KS) cornerback Isaiah Hackett. At the time of his commitment, Brooks had received offers from Gardner Webb, Missouri State, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Robert Morris, Stony Brook, Tennessee-Martin, and Towson State. I expect Brooks to come in and compete immediately add quality depth to the defensive tackle spot.
