Utah State has received a verbal commitment from Navarro Community College (TX) cornerback Gabriel Bryan. Bryan made his official visit to campus over the weekend of May 19th. Bryan is a 6-foot 190-pound junior, who will join the Aggies in June for summer workouts. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining. During the 2022 season, he played in 8 games and tallied 8 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 2 pass breakups. Prior to playing at Navarro, Bryan played at Wagner College where he tallied 41 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, 1 interception, 8 pass breakups, and 1 fumble recovery over the course of three COVID-interrupted seasons. He also boasts a laser-timed 4.39 40. Bryan is the fifth off-season junior college signing for the Aggies joining City College of San Francisco (CA) defensive tackle Harold Brooks, Snow College (UT) running back Rahsul Faison, and Independence Community College (KS) cornerback Isaiah Hackett, and Independence Community College (KS) defensive tackle Siaosi (George) Lauhingoa. At the time of his commitment, Bryan had received offers from Akron, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Jacksonville State, Maine, Murray State, Rhode Island, and Towson State. I expect Bryan to come in and compete immediately and add quality depth and experience to the cornerback spot.
