Utah State picked up a verbal commitment tonight from Helix High School (CA) quarterback Ryland Jessee. He was in Logan on an official visit on June 20th and 21st and chose to make it official today. Jessee is a 6-foot-3 200-pound high school senior who will join the Aggies for the 2024 season. He will be heading into his third season as the starting quarterback for the Highlanders. Over the course of three seasons of high school experience, he has racked up 307 completions in 516 attempts (59.5%) for 4,170 yards, 47 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. According to 247sports, Jessee is rated as the 65th-best quarterback in the country, and the 91st-best high school player in the State of California. At the time of his commitment, Jessee had offers from Nevada, Oregon State, and San Diego State. Jesse is the second commitment for the Aggies 2024 recruiting cycle, joining Casteel High (AZ) offensive lineman Camden Jury.
