My first offensive game ball of the year will go to senior wide receiver Terrell Vaughn. Vaughn had a career-high twelve receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. Vaughn caught a 16-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
My first defensive game ball of the year will be going to graduate senior linebacker MJ Tafisi. Tafisi finished the game with twelve tackles, including eight solo tackles and four assisted tackles. He was also credited with 3.0 tackles-for-loss and also forced a fumble.
My first special teams game ball of the year will be going to senior punter Stephen Kotsanlee. Kotsanlee was on the field often Saturday afternoon as he booted the ball six times including punts of 47, 47, 46, 43, and 43 yards for an average of 44.3 yards per punt. Kotsanlee also forced one fair catch.
