My offensive game ball is going to senior quarterback Cooper Legas. Legas came in off the bench in relief of the injured McCae Hillstead and simply threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns while completing 11 of 15 passes. What made Legas day even more impressive is he did not enter the game until very late in the 2nd quarter.
My first defensive game ball will be going to graduate senior linebacker MJ Tafisi. Tafisi finished the game with a career-high tying 13 tackles, including nine solo tackles and four assisted tackles. Tafisi was a force along the line of scrimmage all afternoon.
My second defensive game ball is going to sophomore safety Ike Larsen. Larsen finished the game with 8 tackles, including six solo tackles and two assisted tackles. Larsen was also credited with 1.0 tackles-for-loss and iced the win for the Aggies by snagging an interception at the goal line in the second overtime.
My special teams game ball is going to junior long snapper Jacob Garcia. Garcia is Mr. Consistent week in and week out and Saturday afternoon was no different. In 10 opportunities, Garcia delivered perfect snaps on all 10 chances.
