Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from Golden West Community College (CA) safety Terrell Taylor. Taylor is a 6-foot 195-pound sophomore who will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. In 17 games throughout his two-year career at Golden West, Taylor racked up 61 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, 1 interception, 1 pass breakup, and 1 fumble recovery. He began his collegiate career spending one season redshirting at Army. According to 247sports coming out of Paramount High (CA), he was rated as the 3,051st-best player nationally, the 226th-best safety, and the 326th-best player in the state of California. He will be joining the Aggies for the 2024 season and sign his letter of intent during the early signing period that begins December 20th. Taylor currently holds offers from Eastern Michigan, Old Dominion, Stephen F. Austin, and Wagner. Taylor is the third junior college addition for the Aggies and the eleventh commitment overall for the Aggies 2024 recruiting cycle, joining Hutchinson CC (KS) cornerback Mason Edwards, Bulter CC (KS) EDGE rush end Marlin Dean, transfer portal additions former university of utah linebacker Jadon Pearson, and former University of Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras, and high school commits Casteel High (AZ) offensive lineman Camden Jury, Helix High (CA) quarterback Ryland Jessee, Lehi High (UT) tight end Grayson Brousseau, Corner Canyon High (UT) wide receiver Tate Kjar, Mater Dei High (CA) linebacker Tanner Williams, and Mountain Ridge High (UT) offensive lineman Adam Hawkes.
