Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this afternoon from former Baylor University offensive lineman George Maile. Maile is a 6-foot-3 305-pound redshirt freshman who will have three seasons of eligibility remaining. Maile saw action in 1 game throughout his two-year career at Baylor. Maile is the younger brother of current Aggie defensive lineman Bo. According to 247sports coming out of Bingham High (UT), he was rated as the 391st-best player nationally, the 16th-best interior lineman, and the 7th-best player in the state of Utah. He will be joining the Aggies for the 2024 season and sign his letter of intent during the early signing period that begins December 20th. Once Maile hit the transfer portal he had offers from Arizona State, byu, California, Hawaii, San Diego State, Texas State, Texas Tech, and Washington State. Coming out of high school, Maile originally held offers from a who’s who of college football boasting offers from Baylor, boise state, byu, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, TCU, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, utah, and Utah State. Maile is the fourth transfer portal addition for the Aggies and the fourteenth commitment overall for the Aggies 2024 recruiting cycle, joining former university of utah linebacker Jadon Pearson, former University of Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras, and former University of Pittsburgh offensive lineman Trey Andersen, junior college additions Hutchinson CC (KS) cornerback Mason Edwards, Bulter CC (KS) EDGE rush end Marlin Dean, Golden West CC (CA) safety Terrell Taylor, and Golden West CC (CA) safety Marquis Brown, and high school commits Casteel High (AZ) offensive lineman Camden Jury, Helix High (CA) quarterback Ryland Jessee, Lehi High (UT) tight end Grayson Brousseau, Corner Canyon High (UT) wide receiver Tate Kjar, Mater Dei High (CA) linebacker Tanner Williams, and Mountain Ridge High (UT) offensive lineman Adam Hawkes.
