Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this afternoon from Navarro Community College (TX) offensive lineman Jared Pele. Pele is a 6-foot-5 312-pound sophomore who has two seasons of eligibility remaining. Pele started all 11 games in 2023 for the Bulldogs earning a first-team all-conference selection. Pele spent the 2021 season as a defensive lineman at the New Mexico Military Institute. He will be joining the Aggies for the 2024 season and sign his letter of intent during the early signing period that begins December 20th. At the time of his commitment, Pele held offers from Bethune-Cookman, Coastal Carolina, Hawaii, Houston Christian, North Alabama, Old Dominion, Sam Houston State, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Texas State. Pele is the sixth junior college addition for the Aggies and the sixteenth commitment overall for the Aggies 2024 recruiting cycle, joining Hutchinson CC (KS) cornerback Mason Edwards, Bulter CC (KS) EDGE rush end Marlin Dean, Golden West CC (CA) safety Terrell Taylor, Golden West CC (CA) safety Marquis Brown, and East Central CC (MS) cornerback EJ Fisk, and from the transfer portal former university of utah linebacker Jadon Pearson, former University of Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras, former University of Pittsburgh offensive lineman Trey Andersen, and former Baylor University offensive lineman George Maile. and high school commits Casteel High (AZ) offensive lineman Camden Jury, Helix High (CA) quarterback Ryland Jessee, Lehi High (UT) tight end Grayson Brousseau, Corner Canyon High (UT) wide receiver Tate Kjar, Mater Dei High (CA) linebacker Tanner Williams, and Mountain Ridge High (UT) offensive lineman Adam Hawkes.
