Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this afternoon from Fullerton Community College (CA) EDGE rush end CJ Nesmith. Nesmith is a 6-foot-5 230-pound junior who has two years of eligibility remaining. During the 2023 season, Nesmith had a breakout season racking up 31 tackles, 12.5 tackles-for-loss, 7.0 sacks, 3 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble. Nesmith spent one season redshirting at Florida A&M University redshirting. He will be joining the Aggies for the 2024 season and sign his letter of intent during the early signing period that begins December 20th. At the time of his commitment, Nesmith held offers from Bethune-Cookman, Morgan State, and Presbyterian College.
