Utah State signed American River Community College (CA) wide receiver Robert Freeman this morning. Freeman is a 5-foot-8 164-pound sophomore who will have three years to complete his final two seasons of eligibility. During the 2023 season, Freeman had a breakout season hauling in 55 passes for 845 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also proved his value on special teams during his career returning 39 kicks for 1,113 yards and 2 touchdowns and 29 punts for 499 yards and 2 touchdowns. According to 247sports coming out of El Cerrito High (CA) two years ago, he was rated as the 164th-best athlete, and the 160th-best player in the state of California. He will be joining the Aggies for the 2024 season and sign his letter of intent during the early signing period that begins December 20th. At the time of his commitment, Freeman held offers from Austin Peay, Eastern Washington, Stephen F. Austin, and UTEP. He also originally held offers from Arizona State and Southern Oregon in high school.
