The Aggies secured an outright Mountain West Conference regular season championship. They clinched the number one seed in next week’s Mountain West Conference Tournament by outlasting the University of New Mexico Lobos 87-85.; Now it’s time to hand out the game ball. This one is going to graduate senior point guard Darius Brown. Brown capped off senior night by finishing the game with 19 points while hitting 5 of 9 shots from the field, knocking down 2 of his 6 three-point attempts, including hitting the go-ahead triple with 4.2 seconds left in the game and going 7 of 9 from the free-throw line. He pulled down 6 defensive boards for a total of 6 rebounds on the night. He also dished out a game-high 9 assists, swiped 3 steals, and blocked a shot. The Aggies will now head for the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada where they will take on the winner of the University of Wyoming/Fresno State University game, Thursday afternoon March 14th.
