Utah State received a verbal commitment from Iowa Central Community College defensive tackle Isaiah Bruce. Bruce is a 6-foot-1 279-pound redshirt freshman who has three seasons of eligibility remaining. He will join the Aggies for the 2024 season. At press time it is unclear if Bruce has taken his official visit to campus. According to 247sports coming out of Lena High (IL), Bruce was rated as the 888th-best player nationally, the 77th-best defensive lineman, and the 18th-best player in the state of Illinois. In just six games in his lone season with the Tritons, Bruce rolled up 23 tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss, 3.5 sacks, and 1 pass breakup. Bruce began his collegiate career at the University of Iowa where he saw action in one game recording one tackle. Bruce originally held offers from Iowa and Northwestern and this time around chose the Aggies over offers from Alcorn State, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Indiana State, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Iowa, Temple, Towson State, Western Illinois, and Western Kentucky. Bruce is the Aggies first addition to the team following the conclusion of spring ball.
