Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from former University of Central Arkansas WING Tucker Anderson. Anderson is a 6-foot-9 190-pound freshman transfer who has three seasons of eligibility remaining with a redshirt season available if he needs it. He will join the Aggies for the 2024-25 season. Anderson committed to the Aggies just five days after visiting the Utah State campus on April 23rd and 24th. Anderson played just one season for the Bears averaging 14.5 points per game while shooting 41.5% from the field, 38.1% from behind the three-point line, and 81.3% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 3.7 rebounds, handed out 1.5 assists, swiped 0.9 steals, and blocked 0.5 shots per game. For his effort, he was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Year. Anderson chose the Aggies over offers and interest from Arkansas, Belmont, Colorado, Colorado State, Davidson, DePaul, Liberty, Louisville, Loyola-Chicago, LSU, Ohio State, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Samford, Tulsa, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Xavier. Anderson is the fourth commitment of the Jerrod Calhoun era at Utah State joining Queens University of Charlotte combo guard Deyton Albury, Stetson University center Aubin Gateretse, and Utah Valley University point guard Drake Allen.
