Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from former Southern Utah University point guard Braden Housley. Housley is a 6-foot-4 180-pound redshirt freshman transfer who has three seasons of eligibility remaining. He will join the Aggies for the 2024-25 season. Housley committed to the Aggies while on his official visit to the Utah State campus on April 30th. Housley after redshirting two seasons ago, played just one season for the Thunderbirds, averaging 10.8 points per game while shooting 37.7% from the field, 27.2% from behind the three-point line, and 62.9% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 3.5 rebounds, handed out 3.6 assists, and swiped 1.6 steals per game. For his strong performance last season, Housley earned a spot on the WAC All-Freshman Team. Housley played his high school ball at Skyridge High (UT). Housley is the fifth commitment of the Jerrod Calhoun era at Utah State joining Queens University of Charlotte combo guard Deyton Albury, Stetson University center Aubin Gateretse, Utah Valley University point guard Drake Allen, and University of Central Arkansas WING Tucker Anderson.
