Utah State received a verbal commitment from former University of Charlotte wide receiver Jack Hestera. Hestera is a 6-foot-1 185-pound sophomore who has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He will join the Aggies for the 2024 season. Hestera’s decision comes less than a week after spending May 8th-9th on campus for his official visit. In his lone season as a 49er, Hestera started in 7 of 9 games, catching 28 passes for 349 yards and 3 touchdowns. Hestera began his career at the University of Colorado as a walk-on wide receiver seeing action in 11 games catching 14 passes for and 157 yards. Hestera chose the Aggies over offers from Arizona State, Houston, Mississippi, Nevada, and West Virginia. Hestera is the Aggies fifth addition to the team following the conclusion of spring ball joining Iowa Central Community College (IA) defensive tackle Isaiah Bruce, boise state university quarterback CJ Tiller, Purdue University linebacker Clyde Washington, and New Mexico State University cornerback Andre Seldon Jr.
