Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from former Gonzaga University power forward Pavle Stosic. Stosic is a 6-foot-9 215-pound true freshman who will have four years to complete his final three seasons of eligibility. At press time, it is unclear if Stosic has taken an official visit to the Utah State campus.
In 14 games with the Zags last season, Stosic logged just 46 minutes, scoring 14 points and recording 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists, and 1 steal.
He spent two seasons between Casademont Zaragoza and the Zaragoza U18 squad before joining CBP Huesca in the Spanish LEB leagues. Following a minor role with the club in 2021-22, he started in three games and made 16 appearances last season, averaging 3.4 points and 3.3 assists.
Stosic also represented his home Serbia in the FIBA U18 European Challengers in 2021. He put up 6.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game in five appearances as the Serbians finished second place in Group A behind Spain.
Stosic is the seventh commitment of the Jerrod Calhoun era at Utah State joining Queens University of Charlotte combo guard Deyton Albury, Stetson University center Aubin Gateretse, Utah Valley University point guard Drake Allen, University of Central Arkansas WING Tucker Anderson, Southern Utah University point guard Braden Housley, and Oregon State University WING Dexter Akanno.
