Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from Basha High School (AZ) EDGE rush defensive end Darian “Bleu” Dantzler. Dantzler is a 6-foot-3 200-pound high school senior who will join the Aggies for the 2025 season.
During his first varsity season last year for the Bears, Dantzler started in 12 games, rolling up 26 tackles, 11.0 tackles-for-loss, 7.5 sacks, 12 QB hurries, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble.
According to 247sports Dantzler is currently rated as the 151st-best EDGE rush defensive end, and the 29th-best prospect overall in Arizona. Dantzler chose the Aggies over offers from Army, Central Michigan, Colorado State, Idaho, Northern Arizona, San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU, and Wyoming.
Dantzler is the fourth commitment for the Aggies 2025 recruiting cycle, joining Lehi HS (UT) offensive lineman Tommy “Rock” Olsen and Idabel HS (OK) running back Ravian “Megatron” Larry, and Copper Hills HS (UT) offensive lineman Joakim Green.
