Utah State picked up a verbal commitment tonight from iSchool Entrepreneurial Academy (TX) center David Iweze. Iweze is a 6-foot-8 220-pound high school senior who will join the Aggies for the 2025-26 season.

According to 247sports, Iweze is rated as the 209th-best player in the country, the 35th-best center, and the 14th-best high school player in Texas. Iweze chose the Aggies over offers from Abilene Christian, Appalachian State, Arkansas State, California, Charlotte, James Madison, Loyola-Chicago, Saint Louis, San Francisco, Texas-Arlington, Texas A&M, Tulsa, USC, and UTEP.

Iweze is the fifth and final commitment for the Aggies 2025 early period recruiting cycle joining Bishop O’Connell High (VA) WING Adlan Elamin, Clayton Valley Charter (CA) point guard Elijah Perryman, Millennium Hoops Preps (AZ) WING Kingston Tosi, and Dream City Christian High (AZ) point guard Brayden Boe.
