Following the Aggies 27-25 breakthrough win on the road over the University of Wyoming, I’m ready to hand out the game balls.
My offensive game ball will be going to senior running back Rahsul Faison. Faison was a man among boys toting the rock 23 times for 131 yards and a touchdown. He also added 4 receptions for another 43 yards.
I’ll hand out two defensive game balls this week.
My first defensive game ball will go to senior boundary safety Jordan Vincent. Vincent recorded a team-leading 11 tackles, including 9 solo tackles and 2 assisted tackles. He also broke up one pass and snagged an interception that the Aggie offense was able to turn into a much-needed touchdown.
My second defensive game ball will go to senior EDGE rush defensive end Cian Slone. Slone accounted for five tackles, all solo. He also racked up a game-high 2.0 sacks and 2.0 tackles-for-loss.
My special teams game ball will be going to redshirt freshman placekicker Tanner Cragun. He hit all three of his PAT tries. He also connected on both of his field goal attempts including hitting a kick from 30 yards and the game-winning kick from 40 yards out as time expired to give the Aggies their second win of the season.
so, who is the young fellow in the pic, one of the athletes mentioned, or the writer of this piece?
That is Tanner Cragun the redshirt freshman that knocked down the game winning field goal.
