Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from Lone Peak High School (UT) offensive lineman Toby Mealer. Mealer is a 6-foot-5 340-pound high school senior who will join the Aggies for the 2025 season. Mealer has been a huge part of the Knights’s offensive success this season and they are currently preparing for a 6A quarterfinal showdown with Fremont High.

According to 247sports Mealer is currently rated as the 1,588th-best player nationally, 129th-best interior offensive lineman, and and the 18th-best prospect overall in Utah. Mealer was originally committed to Arizona State and chose the Aggies over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Massachusetts, North Carolina State, Northern Arizona, UNLV, and UTEP.

Mealer is the eighth commitment for the Aggies 2025 recruiting cycle, joining Lehi HS (UT) offensive lineman Tommy “Rock” Olsen and Idabel HS (OK) running back Ravian “Megatron” Larry, Copper Hills HS (UT) offensive lineman Joakim Green, Centennial HS (AZ) wide receiver Nikko Boncore, Logan HS tight end Reed Olsen, Skyridge HS (UT) offensive lineman Filimone Fangupo, and Owasso HS (OK) cornerback Eric Harris.
