Utah State picked up a verbal commitment Thursday night from Matanzas High School (FL) defensive tackle Jackson Saterfield. Saterfield is a 6-foot-2 305-pound high school senior who will join the Aggies for the 2025 season.

In his final season with the Pirates, Saterfield started in all 10 games and racked up 42 tackles, 8.5 tackles-for-loss, 4.0 sacks, 1 pass breakup, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. Saterfield chose the Aggies over offers from Lighthouse Christian and Warner University.

Saterfield is the thirteenth commitment for the Aggies 2025 recruiting cycle, joining Lehi HS (UT) offensive lineman Tommy “Rock” Olsen and Idabel HS (OK) running back Ravian “Megatron” Larry, Copper Hills HS (UT) offensive lineman Joakim Green, Centennial HS (AZ) wide receiver Nikko Boncore, Logan HS (UT) tight end Reed Olsen, Skyridge HS (UT) offensive lineman Filimone Fangupo, Owasso HS (OK) cornerback Eric Harris, Lone Peak HS (UT) offensive lineman Toby Mealer, Murray HS (UT) offensive lineman Sam Brousseau, Corner Canyon HS (UT) athlete Paxton Naegle, Layton Christian Academy (UT) defensive tackle Iverson Report and Leone HS (American Samoa) athlete Alexander Fai’i’vae.
